Assuming you just walked into a CBD Dispensary and you are asking yourself. What kind of CBD is best for me? Is it a high concentration CBD or a lower concentration? Is it CBD isolate or CBD full spectrum? Is it a bottle of capsules or a bottle of oil? In this article, we are going to be answering these questions and much more.
Choosing a suitable CBD concentration
CBD oil products, like those offered as capsules or in dropper bottles come in varying concentrations. The amount of CBD contained per capsule or bottle is often available on the packaging. Some companies list the concentration in mg, for example, 1000mg, 500mg, or 250mg. While other companies list the concentration in percentages, say 10%, 5%, or 20% CBD.
Usually, higher doses of cannabidiol or CBD have more pronounced effects. However, it is not advisable to start with high concentrations. Preferably start with low to moderate dosages then slowly work your way up. Observe the effects of the dosage over the course of a few weeks or days. Then make any necessary adjustments depending on your needs. In case you do not see the desired effects after this period, you can increase your dosage. Once the desired effects set in, you would be able to confirm what CBD concentration works best for you.
CBD Isolate VS Full Spectrum CBD oil
CBD products are majorly made from either CBD Isolates or CBD full-spectrum oil. The key difference between the two is that CBD isolates contain only CBD whereas Full-spectrum oils contain CBD plus other active compounds. Until recently, CBD Isolate was considered the standard for making CBD products. However, mounting evidence suggests that Full-spectrum CBD oils are more effective and provide many additional benefits.
In addition to CBD, CBD full spectrum oil contains terpenes and other cannabinoids. According to some studies, CBD and these other compounds work hand in hand to optimize the benefits of the CBD oil. Manufacturers usually state whether their product is full-spectrum or CBD Isolate.
CBD Capsules or Oil
Both CBD capsules and CBD oils offer similar benefits. The major differences would be in effect and convenience. The effect is determined by the labeled concentration. Whereas with convenience, generally speaking, capsules offer more convenience. CBD Capsules can be taken discreetly quite easily. One only needs to swallow a capsule from their capsule bottle – an action that would not raise eyebrows anywhere. In contrast, CBD oils are taken through vaporizers (smoking may not be appropriate in the workplace) or by administering droplets directly under your tongue.
